Break-Down & Break-Up
Break out : A break out is defined as a patten in which a stock comes out of that range .
Its broadly divided into two : 1. Break up 2. Break Down
Break down/up Could happend in an intraday or in a long term
Example: Let take Reliance as an example ..
Say Reliance is trading between 1000 and 1050 for a sometime
Now break out could happend either sides, Example if it breaks 1050 then it would be consider as break up and its a clear buy signal..
Same way if it breaks 1000 then it is called as BREAK DOWN. Which means a sell signal raised
